What is MRI?

What is MRI?

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses a large magnet, radio waves, and a computer to produce 2 and 3 dimensional images of the body. MRI is often the imaging modality of choice because it does not use ionizing radiation such as x-rays, and there are no known long-term harmful effects.
