Honors/Awards/Accomplishments

Congratulations to Dr. Lana Vasung who is one of the organizers of the FeTA challenge and will moderate the poster session next week!


Dr. Lana Vasung also held a round table discussion during the FLUX meeting and gave a Presidential Symposium talk at Annual Croatian Neuroscience Meeting.


Congratulations to Dr. Kiho Im who has just received an R01 grant from the National Institute Of Biomedical Imaging And Bioengineering of the National Institutes of Health!


Project title: Measuring cortical plate and subplate thickness in the human fetal brain from magnetic resonance images


 

Welcome New Employees to the FNNDSC!

Please welcome Student Intern, Valeria Cruz Tamayo! Valeria is a student intern currently pursuing her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico. Her role at the FNNDSC is contributing to the development and improvement of an algorithm for automatic labeling of cortical sulci in the fetal human brain as well as processing fetal MRI data. She likes learning from different fields and integrating this knowledge for problem solving. After graduation, Valeria plans on getting a masters degree in biomedical research.


 

Flu Vaccination

The influenza vaccine campaign for staff begins today! It is required that all Boston Children’s W-2 employees, medical staff, research staff, students, and contracted staff be vaccinated against the flu, no later than October 30, 2021 (with the exception of those with approved religious or medical exemptions).
