NIRS is a very useful non-invasive brain monitoring technology, especially for babies and children. It is portable and can thus be easily rolled over to a child’s bedside (as seem in picture below). This allows us to conveniently perform measurements on your child without affecting their clinical care in any way. Moreover, the light and flexible NIRS sensors allow us to perform frequent or continuous measurements as opposed to Doppler Ultrasound or MRI where we can collect information only at a given time. Our advanced NIRS device allows us to gather more detailed information about the brain oxygenation and blood flow compared to similar commercially available devices.
