FNNDSC Research Symposium

Abstract Submission
Deadline: February 20th, 2024
300 words maximum (2 optional figures) describing your project or your work at the FNNDSC. Please note we also welcome "how-to" abstracts to outline the key learning points of a new technique or skill you have acquired in your time at the FNNDSC.
Template for abstracts is located at the following link (please follow the template and upload in PDF format)
Abstracts will be compiled into a booklet and published on our website (option to opt-out in the submission form)
Presentation Details
Format for presentations will be a brief 3-minute talk with 2 minutes for questions.
Maximum of 5 slides (plus a title slide) will be allowed for each talk (to be uploaded by March 15th in PDF format, no animations).
Participants can present in person or on zoom.
Awards will be presented for the top 3 presentations.

FNNDSC Studies Currently Recruiting
The HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study is recruiting people who are pregnant. We hope to learn how early life experiences can shape how a child develops.
Families are asked to participate in activities once during pregnancy, and across several visits during early childhood. Study activities include:
• Surveys about daily experiences
• Biological samples like saliva from you and your child
• Interactive activities for you and your child
• Pictures of your child’s brain
• Wearable sensors to measure your child’s heartbeat and movement
• Physical measurements of your child’s growth
