Last Week's FNNDSC Project Updates

NIRS Team

This week the NIRS engineering team worked to assemble a new fleet of probes that are updated to the latest configuration. This includes probes for spot measurements as well as continuous monitoring. The team successfully completed a probe for continuous monitoring in the NICU which has shown promising results in early measurements. These new probes have been great for the clinical team, they have performed continuous monitoring in the NICU every day this week on three of our four enrolled subjects! They were able to get pre and post surgical PDA ligation data, as well as a continuous monitoring transfusion measurement and a continuous monitoring lumbar puncture measurement. All in all it has been a busy, yet immensely productive week!
