Honors/Awards/Accomplishments
Congratulations to Jeffrey Stout, PhD, who was recently promoted to Instructor!
Jeff did his BSc in Physics at the University of Denver, CO. Earning a Rhodes Scholarship, he then pursued an MS in Ecclesiastical History and an MPhil in the History of Science, Medicine and Technology at Oxford, UK. I came to know Jeff during his PhD in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics at MIT where his supervisor was Elfar Adalsteinsson. After Jeff finished his PhD in 2018, he joined the FNNDSC as a Post Doc working on placental imaging. In 2021, Jeff got a Thrasher Early Career Award to shift his focus to postnatal neuromuscular imaging, the central focus of his PhD thesis. Jeff has published 8 original articles, 4 as first author, and has presented his work locally, nationally and internationally. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to following his career as he grows his collaborations with the clinical neurovascular team.
Welcome to the faculty Jeff! -Ellen
